We're glad you found us. We are a family in Idaho that got turned on to Icelandic Sheepdogs several years ago. Our dog, Bjorki, is an absolutely fantastic family pet, and everywhere we go, people approach us and comment on how beautiful she is. This blog is dedicated to her and her first litter of puppies. (The pups have all been placed, but we'll breed Bjorki again at some point...) We hope you enjoy.

UNA (female, tan and white, double dew claw) has become available

When our Bjorki had her litter of pups about 4 months ago, we immediately picked our favorite to keep.  The other three pups were placed in good homes relatively quickly and we settled down to life with both Bjork and Una (an Icelandic name meaning 'friend').  The thought was that my 12 yr. old daughter was now ready to have and care for a pup of her own.  She (my daughter) had expressed interest in breeding and showing dogs, and Una was to be her start in that direction.  As the months have passed, however, we've found that my daughter isn't quite ready to truly take on the responsibilities that attend owning and training a dog.  She agrees with us that maybe she's still a bit young.

Long story short, I've been the one who has been caring for and training Una since almost day one, which was never my intention.  After discussion with my wife and daughter, we've decided to make Una available for adoption.

The other puppies all went for around $1000. Because Una's now a bit older and a good bit bigger, however, the cost of shipping her will increase somewhat.  For that reason, we're happy to offer her for $900 to the right situation.

I've posted an older picture above.  I'll update the blog with more current pictures as soon as I can.  In the meantime, if you have an interest in this beautiful little friend, please email me with questions or with a completed application form.

Una is current with all of her shots, she's been de-wormed, micro-chipped and registered with the AKC.  We're still finishing house training her, but she hasn't had an accident now for over a week.
