We're glad you found us. We are a family in Idaho that got turned on to Icelandic Sheepdogs several years ago. Our dog, Bjorki, is an absolutely fantastic family pet, and everywhere we go, people approach us and comment on how beautiful she is. This blog is dedicated to her and her first litter of puppies. (The pups have all been placed, but we'll breed Bjorki again at some point...) We hope you enjoy.

BENNI - Information about Benni - proud father

Benni is easily one of the most beautiful Icelandics that we've seen. He's already produced several champions and was approaching the end of his use as a stud when we contacted his owner about breeding Bjorki. Benni only had two pairings left and we were fortunate that one was with Bjorki (The ISAA limits the number of times a male can be used.) As you'll see, the two have produced a litter of gorgeous pups with strong breed characteristics and lovely temperaments.

Benni is a UKC Champion (there are no ISD AKC Champions...yet, they can start earning points towards an AKC Champion title in July). Benni is sire of the first and I believe still the only UKC Grand Champion, and at least 3 UKC Champions. He is the sire of the ISD with the best PennHIP scores (I don't believe any ISD has scored better to date and doubt any ever will).

Benni is homozygous for the Chocolate gene so all of his offspring carry chocolate (chocolate is recessive and only affects black pigment when a dog is homozygous chocolate).
